Choosing Liberty and Eternal Life and it quickly became known that I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During the first weeks of the semester, one of my teammates invited me to a Saturday night party for new students to be held in the desert outside the city. I sat alone, apart from the drinking and. The author has managed to present many deep facts about the truth of Christianity in a straightforward & easy to understand format. He appears not to have blindly accepted this faith, but to have researched it thoroughly, questioning it, and comparing many other beliefs before deciding that Jesus Christ is the only way for him, and in sharing his research, he asks us not to accept his words /5(3).

There will be a resurrection in addition to the one when Christ returns. People who lived centuries apart from each other will be brought to life at the same time. The dead brought to life in this resurrection spoken of by Christ were sinners when they died. Why bring sinners back to life? Why is God going to resurrect these people? Lately I’ve had the occasion to fly a lot around the country, preaching here and there. Even though I’m here on Sundays, it seems like my weeks have been spent in airports, sometimes for a long time.

For the most part it is great stuff. There were some thoughts that were not so positive when I finished reading the book. In an overarching way, Moyer gives a sense that man “accepts” a gift in trusting Christ rather than God “choosing” man to receive the gift of eternal life by trusting Christ.   Eternal Life Defined: Eternal life is, in simple terms, a life that doesn’t end. “Eternity” refers to the life – in heaven or hell – after this present one on the created earth. Our sin condemned us to an eternal death of pain and suffering. Those who accept Christ’s gift of salvation are granted an eternal life with : Christian Theology.

Can There Be Eternal Life Apart from Christ by Robert L. Whitelaw Download PDF EPUB FB2

That’s wonderful. But there are tremendous benefits right here, right now, on earth. Eternal life is one of those benefits. Jesus defined eternal life for us in John That verse says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” Eternal life.

Bible verses about eternal life. God gives all of us a sense of eternity. Eternal life is a gift from God through Christ. When we think of eternal life we think about life after death but it’s more than that. For the believer, eternal life is now.

God is eternal. Eternal life is God’s life living in you. Eternal life traditionally refers to continued life after death, as outlined in Christian Apostles' Creed testifies: "I believe the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting." In this view, eternal life commences after the second coming of Jesus and the resurrection of the dead, although in the New Testament's Johannine literature there are references to eternal life.

Question: "What is eternal life?" Answer: When the Bible speaks of eternal life, it refers to a gift of God that comes only “through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans ). This gift is in contrast to the “death” that is the natural result of sin.

The gift of eternal life comes to those who believe in Jesus Christ, who is Himself “the resurrection and the life” (John ). It is a privilege to recommend There Is Eternal Life For Animals. --Rev. Peter Hammond, Founder & Director of Frontline Fellowship, South Africa Excellent, Outstanding and Life Changing.

--Rev. Shirley Johnson, Florida It is a privilege to recommend There Is Eternal Life For Animals. --Rev. Dr/5(). Jesus Himself taught that those judged to eternity apart from God will be eternally punished: "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life" (Matthew ).

While not enjoyable, this is an accurate depiction of the Bible's teachings regarding eternal death. And everyone who puts their trust in Christ and Christ alone, as the Bible promises, as Jesus promises, has life eternal. There's no other way to get it except by faith and by faith alone.

It's not by our works. We can't merit it. We can't earn it. We can't deserve it. We put our trust in Christ, who alone is worthy of the gift of eternal life.

Given an eternal life, such antagonisms can be worked out, but in one short human life they are incapable of solution.

Jesus referred to such a paradox when he said: "Whosoever shall save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for the sake of the kingdom, shall find it." ~ The Urantia Book, Eternal Life on a Different Kind of.

The first means whereby we get life is by feeding upon the flesh and blood of the Son of God; living in him, trusting on him, believing in his grace and power.

Our second thought was—there is life in Christ. We will show you there are three kinds of life in Christ, as there are three kinds of death.

First there is legal life in Christ. Further, in contrast to the idea of reincarnation, the Bible teaches that all people experience death once and then a judgment (Hebrews ). Our eternal destiny is determined by our earthly life. After this life, the only options that exist are eternity with Christ or eternity apart from Him (Luke ).

There is a knowledge which precedes belief, and there are some great facts and ideas about Christ which lead to a higher and to a different belief (see John ; 1 John ); but again the fullest knowledge follows belief, a notional and real assent leads to an invincible assent. Faith is the womb of assurance.

To Believe in God, One Must Recognize That “Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life” The Lord Jesus said: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them r, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth” (Jhn ).In the last days, the Lord Jesus long ago returned in the flesh as the appearance of.

Jesus Christ is the one person who can speak with real authority (and experience) concerning the afterlife. What gives Him sole authority to speak of heaven is that He came from there: “No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who.

The following study is from the Way of Life Encyclopedia of the Bible & Christianity, copyright E ternal security is the Bible confidence that every born again believer has perfect, complete, eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.

As soon as a sinner receives Christ, he possesses full, unending salvation. There is no other way to be reconciled to God apart from faith in Jesus Christ. From one of our Ask R.C. events, R.C. Sproul reminds us of our need both for complete forgiveness and for Christ’s imputed righteousness.

To get real-time answers to your biblical and theological questions, just : Nathan W. Bingham. Many people will follow Dr. Graham in this belief that a person can be saved apart from accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and will spend eternity Hell because of it.

But, in the more immediate time frame, many people will be able to accept the New World Order Religion, its False Prophet, and even Antichrist, because they have. Only when you jettison ungrounded and untrue faith can you replace it with valid faith in the true God—faith that can pass, and even find strength in, the most formidable of life’s tests.

In her moving book The Year of Magical Thinking, Joan Didion writes about the sudden, unexpected death of. Jesus Is Eternal Life by Tom Stewart. esus the Son of God is Eternal Life. "Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he Live" (John ).This is fundamental to the Christianity of the Scriptures, and those, who by faith place their confidence in Jesus, have Eternal Life.

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

When Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life,” He was claiming to be the source of both. There is no resurrection apart from Christ, and there is no eternal life apart from Christ.

Beyond that, Jesus was also making a statement concerning His divine nature. Eternal life can exist only where there is righteousness—righteousness that comes from obedience to the eternal law of God. The Lord Jesus Christ obeyed the moral law perfectly and then died for our sins.

Now we can receive Christ by faith. As we do, the righteousness proceeding from the justifying authority of the blood of the righteous. If you take God the Spirit apart from Jesus Christ, though it is the Spirit that gives us spiritual life, yet it is life in Christ, life in the Son.

there is eternal life in Christ Jesus. And, oh! if eternal death be terrible, eternal life is blessed; for he has said, “‘Where I am there shall my people be.” “Father, I will, that they. The captivity of Man to the sin nature does not prevent us from doing good, as well.

We just cannot, apart from Christ, obtain eternal life. We can please God, but we cannot attain to eternal life. Where Luther was right was in saying that nothing we can do *apart from Christ* can merit eternal life.
